Disclaimer: I have never used this ArcSoft Perfect 365 before and I was given access to the free trial version of this software for this product review. I do my best to provide you with a fair and accurate review and opinions stated are my own.
Touching up photos can be tough, tedious and very time consuming especially if you are a portrait or headshot photographer. Perfect 365 is supposed to make the process easy as 1 2 3. So, when ArcSoft contacted me to do a product review I jumped at the chance to see if Perfect 365 could make my editing life easier.
ArcSoft Perfect 365: Product Review
I decided to test it’s editing capabilities by touching up a photo of my good friend Aisha Koswara. After downloading the software and opening up Perfect 365, I was greeted with the self explanatory screen below.
Once her photo was uploaded I was able to click through the many options on the styles palette to view the various effects Perfect 365 offered. I played around with the 21 different styles which had some really interesting and cool effects. However, because I didn’t adjust her specific facial settings in the beginning I found there were some areas that I needed to modify.
On the bottom right hand corner I clicked a button that said, “adjust key points” which allowed me to modify the key facial settings for Aisha’s face.
After viewing each style and finally choosing “spice” I went into manual mode to modify some of the intensity of the look.
Voila! I went with something subtle yet very effective. I even made her smile a little more pronounced with the quick move of a mouth slider.
For me, Perfect 365 was easy and fast to use. If you are a beginner just starting out you will find this product to be a great place to begin before investing in the more advanced editing software that is out there. If you are a professional and you just need a quick 1,2,3 facial touch up with some really cool makeup effects then consider trying Perfect 365.
There is a free trial version but the full version is only $39.99 which is affordable and worth the money. In addition, ArcSoft is offering Portrait Inspiration and its readers a 25% discount when you use the code (Perfectinspiration) at checkout.
